its not nearly as daunting as it looks, its all solid and mostly there,the legshields and mudguard are trashed but its easy to get them. once i get it blasted il be well away, i will be rebuilding the engine myself the only thing i cant do is the tig welding on the cacked stud holes in the crankcase. picked up a new crank, main bearings and all the seals for less than a hundred at a vintage scoot show on sunday. parts are still readily available reasonably cheap thanks to tinternet, its just getting the time to work on it.
I know this place in Kephalonia where there's a WWII Kubelwagen just sitting at the side of the road since the German forces were kicked off the island. Got bullet holes and everything . . .

Also, as far as I recall, there's a VW Kubelwagen on the road out of Argostoli in Kephalonia left over from WWII that needs rescuing as well.
